Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), a national level professional organisation, has honoured Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University with the ‘Performance Excellence Award’ at its 23rd CEO’s Conference held at Colombo recently.
Dr Amiya Behera, chairman of the National Council of IIIE, presented the award to SOA founder president Prof (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak here on Monday.
“SOA has been honoured because of its continuous efforts towards achieving operational excellence,” Dr Behera said.
IIIE has been consistently engaged in extensive and pioneering work in disseminating, fostering, developing and advancing the discipline of industrial engineering for more than six decades.
The organisation’s flagship event held at Colombo from May 5 to 7 on the theme ‘Circular Economy and Strategic Sustainable Development’ served as a forum to recognise and honour organisations for their performance through adoption of world class best practices.
Thought leaders, management gurus, ambassadors, noted academicians, media personalities, corporate leaders and dignitaries from across the world participated in the conference to share their ideas, exchange thoughts and deliberate on various research insights centering around the chosen theme.
