Odisha started their campaign in the Senior Women’s Elite-B One-Day League with a crushing eight-wicket win over Tamil Nadu at PYC Gymkhana Ground in Pune on Sunday.
Opting to bat, Tamil Nadu scored 228 all out in 49.1 overs, with SB Keerthana making 39 and for Odisha Rasanara Parwin took a five-wicket haul.
Sarita Meher scored 63 not out and Sushree Dibyadarshini made 55 not out as Odisha chased down the target in 44.2 overs and eight wickets remaining.
Both teams play their second match on Monday.
