Imphal: One person was killed and anopther injured in an IED blast in Manipur’s Imphal West district on Friday night, police said.
The blast claimed the life of 24-year-old Oinam Kenegy, while another person sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and his condition is serious, police informed.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion. Meanwhile, unidentified individuals targeted the office of United Committee Manipur (UCM) in Lamphelpat, Imphal West, setting it on fire.
In Imphal East district, another group damaged and set fire to the administrative section of a school early on Saturday, causing the destruction of a parked vehicle on the premises.
