Odisha’s Swadhin Majhi wins bronze at U23 National Athletics Championship

Odisha high jumper Swadhin Majhi has won a bronze medal at the inaugural U23 National Athletics Championship 2021, held at the Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

Swadhin jumped an impressive 2.08m to give Odisha its first medal at the Championship.

Weightlifting trials

A two-day Odisha weightlifting selections trials will be held from October 2-3 from 8 am onwards in Puri.

The venue for the trials is the Odisha Jatyia Byayam Kreeda Parishad, near the beach. For registration, call 9029800547.

Moreover, athletes outside of Puri district can also attend the trials on Oct 3.

Academy Nationals

The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey HPC boys are travelling to participate in the first Hockey India Sub-Junior Academy Nationals to be held at Bhopal from Oct 3-13, 2021.
