Odisha’s Hansda wins silver at Asian Youth Athletics Championship

Bapi Hansda after winning silver at Asian Youth Athletics Championship in Tashkent.

Odisha’s Bapi Hansda bagged a silver medal in 400m hurdles event at the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championship at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

He clocked 51.38 seconds in the finals of the event on April 27.

Maamat Abakar Abdraham of Qatar secured the gold medal with a time of 50.91 sec while bronze medal went to Sri Lanka’s Kuda Liyanage Ayomal Akalanka with a time of 51.40 sec.
