Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s first inpatient rehabilitation unit was inaugurated at SUM Ultimate Medicare here on the occasion of the World Physiotherapy Day on Thursday.
The advanced inpatient rehabilitation unit offers the highest quality care to patients requiring neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation and also post-operative and palliative care.

The unit was inaugurated by Dr. Swetapadma Dash, Chief Executive Officer. Chief of Medical Services, Brig. (Dr.) Biraj Mohan Mishra, was present on the occasion.
Head of department of Physiotherapy Dr. P. Balakishore, the physiotherapy team, heads of departments and other employees were also a part of the ceremony.
A first of its kind, the rehabilitation unit is devised to infuse hope in people who have recovered from critical injuries or illnesses and are in need of physiotherapy and personalised care to regain fitness.
