Keynote speaker, Sudipta Bhadra, chief technical adviser at PSEI, ILO, initiated discussions on sustainable enterprise and economic empowerment, emphasising the challenges and opportunities faced by women-led businesses in Odisha.
A focal point of the convention was the demand for separate policies and reservations for women in government tenders. Panel discussions featuring eminent figures like Rama Devi and Sreekanth Koonayil delved into success mantras and perspectives from various states.
Interactive workshops covered crucial topics such as public procurement policy and digital marketing, with experts offering insights into leveraging technology for business growth. Rita Mathur led a panel discussion on “Public Procurement Policy – Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs,” addressing queries and clarifications on the “Odisha Procurement Preference Policy for MSE Manufacturing Enterprises-2024.”
Certificates were awarded to MSMEs in Odisha trained under the ILO SCORE program, marking a milestone in their entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, Life & Business Transformation coach Deepak Bajaj delivered a motivational session, inspiring women to strive for success in their enterprises.
With over 200 women entrepreneurs from 25 districts of Odisha participating, the convention served as a catalyst for empowerment, networking and policy advocacy, fostering a conducive environment for women’s economic participation and growth.
