Nagpur: A strong all-round performance helped Odisha Under-15 women register a convincing 113-run victory over Saurashtra in their Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy Elite-C match at the Lady Amritbai Daga College Ground, here on Friday.
After Saurashtra won the toss and chose to field, Odisha put up an imposing total of 234 for 5 in 35 overs. Ananya Priyadarshini Das anchored the innings with 93 off 113 balls, hitting 12 fours. She received good support from Chirashree Rout, who scored a brisk 58 off 54 deliveries, striking 10 boundaries, as the pair laid a solid foundation for the total.
In reply, Saurashtra struggled against Odisha’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 121 in 32.2 overs. Krishna Bhatt top-scored for Saurashtra with 42 off 69 balls, while Riti Parekh added 26 from 36 deliveries.
Odisha’s bowlers kept things tight throughout the innings. Anwesha Swain delivered a standout spell, returning impressive figures of 3 for 2 from four overs, including two maidens. Ananya P Jena also chipped in with 2 wickets for 16 runs in her four overs.
