MoU being signed between Odisha Government and AAI.
Bhubaneswar: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Odisha Governemnt and Airport Authority of India (AAI) for Online Building Permission and Approval System (OBPAS) under the SUJOG initiative in presence of G. Mathivathanan, principal secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UD).
Balwant Singh, vice-chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority, Vijay Amrit Kulange, commissioner Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Susanta Kumar Mishra, addl. secretary, H&UDD, RS Lahauria, general manager (ATM), eastern region, DoAS; Mughavi Zhimo, asst. general manager (ATM), CHQ, DoAS; other officials from Housing & Urban Development Department, and stakeholders of SUJOG project were present.
This citizen-centric digital transformation initiative by the state governemt comes under the SUJOG umbrella which stands for “Sustainable Urban Services in a Jiffy by Odisha Government”.
The signing of this MoU with AAI envisages complete automation of the NOC process related to building plan approval. The AAI NOC, a mandatory document for the approval of building plan, will now be delivered online through an integrated one-stop solution. This MoU will lay the foundation stone for an effective, efficient and transparent building plan application approval system.
