The last date to apply for the Odisha Police Constable recruitment is October 4, 2021.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have done class 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Electronics or Statistics or Computer Science or Information Technology or they must have done a 3-year diploma in engineering subjects approved/offered by State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, Odisha.
The candidates are also required to submit a passing certificate of Odia as one of the subjects in HSC examination or a certificate of passing an examination in Odia language equivalent to ME standard recognised or conducted by the School and Mass Education Department of government of Odisha.
Fees: Applicants, unless they belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, will have to pay an online non-refundable examination fee of Rs 220.
Exam date: According to the recruitment notification, the examination will take place on November 15 and November 20. It will be a computer-based test.
Age limit: Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 23 years of age as on January 1, 2021. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the SC/ST/SEBC/women candidates.
Selection process: Once the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is done, a common merit List will be prepared. This list will be based on the sum of the total number of marks secured by the candidate in the Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) and weightage marks in NCC certificate.
The candidates shall be selected category wise in order of merit as per vacancies notified in the advertisement.
