Odisha neurologist awarded fellowship by World Headache Society

Bhubaneswar: Prof (Dr) Suryaprakash Chowdhury, Professor in Neurology department of Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here, has been honoured with the fellowship of the World Headache Society at its international conference held at Bengaluru last month.

Around 500 neurologists from across the world attended the three-day conference held from June 16 to 18 where ten neurologists were awarded
the fellowship.

This is the highest honour conferred by the society and Prof (Dr) Chowdhury is the first neurologist from Odisha to receive the same.

Prof (Dr) Chowdhury has been conducting research on various types of headache and migraine as also new methods of treatment to enable patients to get improved healthcare within the state.
