Odisha lose to Vidarbha in U-25 BCCI One-day Trophy

Odisha lost a close match against Vidarbha by five runs in the U-25 BCCI One-day (Elite-A) Trophy, being played at Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot.

After opting to field in their opening match, Odisha bowlers led by Kartik Biswal (2 for 43) and Rajesh Mohanty (2 for 44) did well to restrict Vidarbha to 252 for 9 in 50 overs.

Odisha started off the run-chase with intent, with captain Sandeep Pattnaik scoring 71 and wicketkeeper-batsman made a 76-ball 52, but it was not enough to take the team over the line.

Odisha in their stipulated 50 overs could manage to reach 247 for 9, and losing the match just by five runs.

In the second game, Odisha meets Hyderabad.
