The decision was made during the apex council meeting of the OCA on Monday. The player registration has already started from 1 November and will continue till 12 November.
For these tournaments, the maximum age-limit has been capped at 30 years. The non-domicile player eligibility criteria was also approved and the right to approval/rejection is reserved with the cricket association.
Also, Barabati Stadium will be upgrading the conventional flood lights to LED. It would be the first of its kind in the state with this facility, the OCA said in a release.
The district academies project which emphasises on developing cricket at the grassroots level, and that started with 15 districts will now go to the next 17 districts in the second phase of inauguration.
OCA will soon start a feeder centre in the form of a residential academy for U-14 boys which will accommodate the best talents from the state who would get the state of art facility and modern coaching to enhance their skill sets.
