Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: A couple of one-sided contests marked the OCA Inter-District School Cricket Tournament (2025–26) one-day preliminary league, with Kendrapara and Bhubaneswar-A registering emphatic victories on Saturday.

At the BJB High School Mini Stadium, Khurda, Kendrapara outclassed Boudh by a huge margin of 203 runs. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Kendrapara piled up a commanding 302 for 6 in 45 overs. Swapnil Rana led the charge with a superb 100 off 93 balls, while Sudhansu S. Malik provided solid support with a brisk 65 off 42 deliveries. For Boudh, Sai Prajwal was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 68, while Ommshree A. Urma chipped in with a wicket.

In reply, Boudh were bundled out for 99 in 29 overs. Kishor Nayak top-scored with an unbeaten 38 off 57 balls and Rudransh Saha added 17, but the chase never gathered momentum. Kendrapara’s bowlers were relentless, with Sandip Swain returning impressive figures of 2 for 8 from five overs, while Swapnil Rana capped off an all-round show with 2 for 11 to be named the stand-out performer.

In another match at the Sunshine Cricket Ground, Bhubaneswar-A delivered an even more dominant performance against Paradip Port Trust in Match 18, winning by a staggering 311 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Bhubaneswar-A amassed a mammoth 350 for 3 in their 50 overs. Aditya R. Mishra stole the spotlight with a magnificent 177 off 144 balls, ably supported by Samarjeet Sahoo, who remained unbeaten on 70 off 69 deliveries. Rajesh Swain (2 for 57) and Saishree Biswal (1 for 56) were the only bowlers to find some success for Paradip Port Trust.

The response from Paradip Port Trust faltered badly as they were dismissed for just 39 in 21.2 overs, with Ayasha Panda scoring 11. Bhubaneswar-A’s bowling attack ran riot, led by Bimaljyoti Behera’s outstanding spell of 4 for 1 and Bijay Singh’s 4 for 12, sealing a comprehensive victory. Aditya R. Mishra was adjudged the stand-out performer for his match-winning knock.
