OCA inter-district school cricket tournament: Bhubaneswar-A, Cuttack-A, Angul and Bhubaneswar-B enter semis
The quarterfinal stage of the OCA Inter District School Cricket Tournament 2025–26 delivered a mix of one-sided wins and dominant individual performances across venues on Thursday.
Bhubaneswar-A crush Jajpur by 10 wickets
At GatiRout Patna Ground, Bhubaneswar-A produced a clinical performance to seal a 10-wicket win over Jajpur.
After winning the toss and opting to field, Bhubaneswar-A bundled out Jajpur for just 34 runs in 16 overs. Naman Nayak top-scored with 17 off 26 balls. Bimaljyoti Behera led the bowling attack brilliantly with figures of 4 for 7 in 4 overs, including a maiden, while Naman Satapathy picked up 3 for 5 in 4 overs with two maidens.
In reply, Bhubaneswar-A chased down the modest target comfortably, reaching 37 without loss in just 5.1 overs. Aditya R. Mishra remained unbeaten on 29 off 21 balls, while Bhubanesh Samal scored 6 not out off 10 balls.

Cuttack-A hammer Puri by 155 runs
At Ravenshaw-II Ground, Cuttack-A registered a commanding 155-run victory over Puri.
Batting first after Puri chose to field, Cuttack-A posted a strong total of 230 for 9 in 45 overs. Priyanshu P. Samal anchored the innings with a superb 112 off 132 balls, while Anshuman Patanaik added a quick 29 off 17 balls. For Puri, Shubhakanta (3 for 31 in 9 overs) and Dibyadarshan Paikaray (3 for 44 in 9 overs) were the main wicket-takers.
In response, Puri were bowled out for 75 in 29 overs. Durgasish Behera starred with the ball, returning figures of 3 for 10 in 9 overs, including four maidens. Somyajeet Das also chipped in with 2 for 5 in 1 over.

Angul chase down 172 to beat Nabarangpur
At Mula Padia (Town Club) Ground, Angul defeated Nabarangpur by 5 wickets in an entertaining contest.
Nabarangpur, batting first after Angul opted to field, were all out for 171 in 37 overs. Nikhilesh Baisak scored 58 off 54 balls, while Mayank Soura made 38 off 76 deliveries. Dev P. Mishra impressed with the ball for Angul, taking 5 for 17 in 7 overs and Akhil Pradhan claimed 2 for 28 in 7 overs.
Chasing 172, Angul reached 174 for 5 in just 23.1 overs. Akhil Pradhan followed up his bowling effort with a fine 68 off 55 balls and Omm Sri Sahoo smashed 67 off 42 balls. For Nabarangpur, Nikhilesh Baisak picked up 4 for 31 in 6 overs.

Bhubaneswar-B beat Dhenkanal by 8 wickets
At Barabati Stadium, Bhubaneswar-B secured an 8-wicket win over Dhenkanal.
Dhenkanal, after winning the toss and electing to bat, managed 106 for 7 in their 45 overs. Krushant K. Behera top-scored with 31 off 55 balls, while Ayaan Sarangi added 18 off 33 balls. Aryan Mohanty was the pick of the bowlers for Bhubaneswar-B, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 22 in 9 overs, including two maidens.
In reply, Bhubaneswar-B chased down the target comfortably, scoring 107 for 2 in 18.3 overs. Anshuman Das made 51 off 45 balls, and Sai Shankar Sethi contributed 32 off 49 balls.
