None hurt in Visakhapanam-Kirandul train derailment

There has been no casualties or injuries reported after Visakhapanam-Kirandul passenger special train derailed between Jeypore-Chatriput stations on Monday.

One sleeper class and three general coaches were derailed.

Accident relief trains were ordered to proceed to the site, also officers rushed to the site for immediate restoration operations.

Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy, ADRM infra Sudhir Kumar Gupta, ADRM Operations Manoj Kumar Sahoo and other officers were monitoring the relief operations. Alternate transport arrangements made for stranded passengers.

Meanwhile, alternate transport arrangements were made as ECoR has sent every passenger to their destination from the accident site by specially hired car and bus.
