Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), a deemed to be university, was ranked 37 overall, improving over its last year’s ranking of 38th. While Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), a deemed to be university, has received 39th rank overall.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela fell to 41 against last year’s overall ranking of 32. IIT Bhubaneswar dropped to 58th rank overall compared to 56th in 2020 and 46 in 2019.
However, in the university category, SOA secured 20th rank followed by KIIT (21st). In the same cohort, Utkal University has climbed up to 87th rank against last year’s 96th. VSSUT Burla is placed in the rank band of 101-150, while CV Raman Global University, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) and Xavier University are in the rank band of 151-200.
In the engineering category, NIT Rourkela and IIT Bhubaneswar got 20 and 28 ranks respectively. While in the medical category, SOA received 21st rank, while AIIMS Bhubaneswar got 31st rank followed by SCB Medical College and Hospital at 39.
In the management category, KIIT received 31st rank followed by Xavier University 34th rank, IIM Sambalpur (61) and IMI Bhubaneswar (62). In law colleges rankings, KIIT was at 10th and National Law University Cuttack was placed 18th.
In the college, pharmacy and architecture categories, not a single institution managed to secure a ranking. However, in research category, which is a new addition this year, NIT Rourkela got 31st rank while IIT Bhubaneswar was placed at 43.
