Bhubaneswar: As many as 230 cadets belonging to both junior and senior divisions of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) are attending an eight-day annual NCC training camp being held at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), which started on August 17.
The camp has been organised by 4(O) CTC with four Associate NCC Officers and 7 Permanent Instructors engaged to impart weapon, drill and sports training to the cadets under the commandership of the Officer Commanding Lt. Col. Umesh Marwaha.
Lt. Col. Marwaha briefed the cadets about the aims and objectives of NCC and the use of different digital forums initiated by the central government during the inaugural ceremony of the camp.
The camp is being conducted with the active cooperation of Associate NCC Officer Lt. (Dr.) Sachidananda Sahoo of ITER, Lt. Rudra Prasad Nanda of AIET, Dr. Satish Kumar Samal of ITER, Prof. (Dr.) Ranjan Kumar Mallick, Warden of ITER hostels and Prof. (Dr.) PK Sahoo, Dean of ITER.
