National Open Athletics Championship: Odisha’s Graceson finishes sixth in hurdles final

The third day of the National Open Athletics Championship 2021 at Warangal saw Odisha’s Graceson Jeeva finishing sixth in 110m hurdles, by clocking 14.82sec.

In the same event, Tejas Ashok of Maharastra secured gold medal with a time of 14.09sec, while silver and bronze went to Sachin Binu and Tarundeep Singh from the Services.

In the high jump event, Swadhin Kumar Majhi finished ninth by the clearing the bar at 2.08m, as he bettered his personal best and also created the state record, which was earlier of 2.07m, created recently during the 68th State Senior Athletics Championship at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, Debasis Patnaik, participating in the 800m event, finished sixth in the heats with a timing of 1min 54.85sec.
