Minister Usha Devi hands out appointment letter to a newly recruit.
Bhubaneswar: In a move towards bolstering efficiency, transparency and community engagement, the municipal administration, guided by the 5T Governance of the Odisha Government, has hired 89 newly recruited individuals.
Among them, 61 Amins and 28 Auditors received their appointment letters, marking a transformative step for the administration.
The recruits, hailing from diverse backgrounds, gathered at the Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhawan for the “Nijukti Parba,” on Monday. The induction programme started with an insightful orientation session by Sangramjit Nayak, director of Municipal Administration, highlighting the significance of this recruitment process, the first of its kind since the department’s inception.
Additional chief secretary of H&UD department, G Mathivathanan, delivered a keynote address, shedding light on the journey of urban transformation in Odisha. Minister of Housing & Urban Development, Usha Devi, the chief guest, presented the letters of appointment to the recruits.
The event saw the presence of dignitaries like minister for Social Security & Empowerment of persons with Disabilities, Science & Technology Dept Ashok Chandra Panda, MLA Ananta Narayan Jena and mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Sulochana Das.
