Bhubaneswar: Mohes Kumar Behera, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), has officially assumed the role of additional general manager of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
Prior to his current appointment, Behera served as the chief planning & design engineer of ECoR at Bhubaneswar.
He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having graduated in civil engineering from the University College of Engineering, Burla. He obtained a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering from IIT, Madras. He joined the Indian Railways in 1991.
Throughout his career, Behera has held various positions, including chief bridge engineer and chief engineer (Bridge Rehabilitation) in ECoR. His contributions extended to roles such as group general manager of Rites at Bhubaneswar and chief engineer (Construction) of Ganga Bridge under East Central Railway at Patna and Munger.
In addition, Behera has served in crucial posts such as senior divisional engineer (Co-Ordination) in Sambalpur, deputy chief vigilance officer in ECoR, and deputy chief engineer (con) in NF Railway.
