MK Behera appointed general manager (I/C) of ECoR

Mohes Kumar Behera, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), has assumed the role of general manager (I/C) of East Coast Railway (ECoR).

Behera, a graduate from the University College of Engineering, Burla in Civil Engineering, and further pursued his M.Tech in Ocean Engineering from IIT, Madras. His academic foundation complements a career that spans over three decades in the railway sector.

He has served in crucial capacities such as chief bridge engineer and chief engineer (Bridge Rehabilitation) within ECoR. His expertise was further honed during his tenure as group general manager at Rites, Bhubaneswar, and as chief engineer (Construction) overseeing the prestigious Ganga Bridge project under East Central Railway at Patna and Munger.

Having worked in various critical positions, including senior divisional engineer (Co-Ordination) in Sambalpur, deputy chief vigilance officer in ECoR, and deputy chief engineer (Con) in NF Railway, Behera brings a wealth of experience and insight to his new role.
