US-based furniture company MillerKnoll has opened its inaugural store in Chennai, marking its sixth outlet in India. Managed by authorised dealer Buildcraft Interior, the move is part of MillerKnoll’s strategy to establish more showrooms in key Indian cities, said Kartik Shethia, managing director for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
The new Chennai showroom exhibits MillerKnoll’s renowned brands, including Herman Miller, Colebrook Bosson Saunders, Knoll, DatesWeiser and Design Within Reach. Products at the outlet range from Rs 60,000 to Rs 2.50 lakh.
Shethia said the showroom aims to provide an immersive experience for Chennai’s design community rather than just displaying products. This launch signifies the company’s intention to expand further across India, fostering innovation and enhancing regional design trends, he added.
Ravi Subramanian, director of Buildcraft Interior, expressed enthusiasm, stating that the showroom not only introduces MillerKnoll’s brands but also offers access to world-class designs for Chennai’s design enthusiasts and professionals.
