Chennai: A mega camp for Defence pensioners to renew their digital life certificates will be organised at the Air Force Station, Tambaram, on November 11, as part of the nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0.
The initiative, jointly conducted by the Indian Air Force and the Defence Accounts Department, Chennai, aims to provide a one-stop service for life certificate renewal and grievance redressal for retired Defence personnel and Defence civilians, an official release said on Sunday.
Several Defence civilian establishments, central government agencies and banks will participate in the camp, setting up dedicated counters to assist pensioners in completing their digital verification and addressing service-related issues.
“The camp will serve as a single-window facility for Defence pensioners to renew their life certificates and resolve related concerns,” the release stated.
In addition to the renewal services, a digital demonstration will be held to educate pensioners on the process of submitting Jeevan Pramaan, the biometric-enabled life certificate system.
The event is expected to benefit a large number of retired Defence personnel from across Tamil Nadu, ensuring smooth pension disbursement and compliance with the government’s digital pension verification norms.
