MATHURA: Burglars looted cash and jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh from the residence of Sushil Dewan, the owner of Mangalam Saree showroom in Mathura. The theft took place on Tuesday evening while the family was away attending a community event in Govardhan, police said.
Circle Officer Sweta Singh stated that six special teams, including a surveillance unit, have been assigned to investigate the case.
According to officials, the robbers broke the lock on the main gate and gained access to the house. They then opened the locker and made off with substantial cash and valuable ornaments.
CCTV footage from the area revealed that two individuals arrived in a car, carried out the burglary, and fled with the stolen goods. The footage is now being analysed to identify the culprits.
