Cuttack: A mass cleaning drive was undertaken at Balisahi resettlement area here this week as part of ‘Udyam’, an endeavour of CMC for a Swachh Cuttack.
Cleaning of streets, lanes, drains along with septic tanks and river front was undertaken.

CMC commissioner Nikhil Pavan Kalyan along with deputy commissioner Sanitation, other officials and swachha karmis were present on the occasion on Thursday.
The CMC commissioner encouraged the slum dwellers to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and work unitedly for the same.
He directed the concerned officials of CMC Engineering section to complete the drain and road work as well as the embarkment before the onset of monsoon to prevent inundation.
