Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, a man, who earned his livelihood by cleaning cars at traffic signals, lost his life after being run over by a tipper lorry. The incident happened on Thursday evening at a traffic junction in the Armoor area, police said.
According to the police, the altercation ensued when the man, seeking money, began cleaning the window panes of a government officer’s car without permission. The situation escalated, resulting in a heated argument between the man and the officer.
In a shocking turn of events, the officer reportedly exited the vehicle and allegedly kicked the man. The man was struck by a tipper lorry approaching from behind.
A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s relatives against the individual ‘driving the car’, under Indian Penal Code Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), a police official said.
Also, a case has been filed against the driver of the tipper lorry under IPC Section 304A (causing death by negligence).
