Odisha started off their campaign with a win as they beat Mizoram by nine wickets in the Senior women One-Day Trophy, played at Puducherry.
Opting to bat, Mizoram never looked in a position to put up a competitive score on the board as Odisha’s Sujata Mallik and Rameswari Naik picked two wickets each.
Zuali scored 37 off 108 balls while Julie 19 off 35 balls with Mizoram scampering to 115 for 9 in 50 overs.
Coming out for the chase, Madhuri Meheta (71* off 67) and Sarita Meher (36* off 59) made it look really chase as Odisha gunned down the total in 21.5 overs at the loss of just one wicket.
