Bhubaneswar: Prof. Rajendra Prasad Mohanty, eminent educationist and former vice-chancellor of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, was on Thursday presented the Lal Bahadur Shastri recognition for exemplary contribution in the field of academics and institution building at New Delhi.
The award, instituted by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi and presented on the occasion of its Foundation Day celebration every year, is given to leading academicians, institution builders, management practitioners and business leaders.
Anil Shastri, chairman of Lal Bahadur Shastri Foundation, presented the award to Prof. Mohanty.
Prof. Mohanty, presently chief consultant to the SOA Deemed to be University here, has authored several books on human resource management, quality management practices, supply chain management, advanced operations management and total quality management.
An international speaker in his chosen fields, he has varied experience in both academics and industry and is the recipient of International Life Time Achievement Award from the Association of Indian Management Scholars, USA, Life Time Achievement Award from Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) and Visvesvaraya Award from Orissa Engineers’ Forum.
