Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle, Kolkata inspected the 13,050 km long rail line between Mahipur and Nuagaon stations of ongoing Khurda Road-Balangir rail line project on Wednesday.
Construction of the much awaited project has been completed and will be commissioned after clearance from Commissioner of Railway Safety.
Movement of train services will be allowed just after getting clearance from CRS for train traffic.
Commissioner of Railway Safety inspected all the safety related works thoroughly between Mahipur and Nuagaon Station.
A light engine was also made to run between the two stations to measure the feasibility of train line for train traffic.
CRS will also inspect the newly constructed 3,099 km long Khurda Road-bypass line on March 24 and will check thoroughly the safety aspects of the line. Train traffic towards south directions from Puri will be easier after commissioning of the bypass line.
