Kalahandi Cup: Dhenkanal beat Ganjam by 122 runs

Dhenkanal prevailed in a low-scoring game of Kalahandi Cup (senior) inter-district cricket preliminary league as they beat Ganjam by 122 runs on Sunday.

Opting to bat, Kanha Bhutia and Sunil Sahoo scored fifties as Dhenkanal managed to reach 220 in 47.4 overs. For Ganjam, Janmejoy Nayak and Laxmi Pal picked four and three wickets respectively.

In the run-chase, Ganjam faltered and were all out for 98 in 20.4 overs, with Kartik Gauda (28) being the top-scorer. Dhenkanal’s Bikash Rout and Soumendra Das took two wickets each.
