Opting to field at Barabati Stadium here, Sovan Swain led BBSR-A’s bowling attack by scalping five wickets with Ansuman Bej picking two, as ECORSA were bowled out for 161 in 35.1 overs.
For ECORSA, Ankit Yadav scored 50 and Sameer Mohanty 44. BBSR-A wrapped up the chase in 28.5 overs without losing a single wicket, with Raghunath scoring 92 not out and Shantanu Mishra 58 not out.
In another match played at Ravenshaw Ground-1, Cuttack-B chased down Khorda’s target of 248 in 42.5 overs. The credit of the seven-wicket victory would go to Sambit K Sahoo who slammed an unbeaten 113 off 124 balls.
Meanwhile, at DRIEMS Ground, Balasore beat Rourkela by 42 runs riding on the five-wicket haul by Sarbeswar Mohanty. Put in to bat, Balasore were bowled out for 184 in 46.5 overs. The run-chase got tricky for Rourkela with Mohanty casting a spin web to return figures of five for 27 and Gyanendra Parida chipping in with two bundle Rourkela out for 142 in 36.1 overs.
