Kalahandi Cup 2024: Nayagarh prevails in tricky run-chase

Shashang Rungata put up an all-round show for Nayagarh in Kalahandi Cup.

Shashang Rungata picked four wickets to help Nayagarh bag a two-wicket win over BBSR-B in a second phase league (Gold-B) match of Kalahandi Cup on Monday.

Put in to bat at KIIT Stadium in Bhubaneswar, BBSR-B were bowled out for 194 in 44.1 overs, with Rungata picking four and Deepak Das two scalps. Anurag Sarangi top-scored for BBSR-B with 66.

The run-chase became tricky with wickets tumbling but Soumya Srichandan and Rungata scored 33 each, as Nayagarh scampered to two-wicket win with just one ball left.
