Ispat Express extended to Kantabanji

Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo, Lok Sabha MP from Balangir flagged off the extension of Ispat Express to Kantabanji from Kantabanji Railway Station, on Tuesday in the presence of Santosh Singh Saluja, MLA, Kantabanji.

On the inaugural run of the extended portion, the train left from Kantabanji at 1000hrs as a special train. However, the regular service of the train will commence from April 14 from Howrah on every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and from April 15 from Kantabanji on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

On the extended portion, Ispat Express will run for four days in a week towards Kantabanji.

From April 16 to August 13, the train from Howrah will run on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and will run up to Titlagarh.

Earlier, Singhdeo inaugurated the Coach Indication Board and Foot Over Bridge connecting platform No 1 to 2 at Kantabanji Railway Station. Divisional railway manager, Sambalpur, Pradeep Kumar coordinated the programme.
