Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has decided to conduct internal assessment of all the Aahaar Centres soon.
As part of the community participation agenda, operation and management of all the 167 Aahaar Centres operating in urban areas have been handed over to Mission Shakti SHGs.
In order to ensure quality of services and maintain hygiene of food served to people-centred services, it has been decided to conduct internal assessment of all the Aahaar Centres.
An Orientation programme on the assessment process was conducted too for the Mission Shakti SHGs engaged in O&M of Aahaar Centres, DUDA experts of all districts and City Mission Managers of 115 ULBs under the chairmanship of Joint Secretary to government and OSD Aahaar, Sarada Prasad Panda.
Panda briefed about the detailed assessment process, interacted with the members of the Mission Shakti SHGs and appreciated their contribution and efforts towards managing the Aahaar Centres.
He also deliberated a detailed matrix ensuring quality standards, hygiene, and performance based evaluation. Stressing upon timely monitoring and evaluation, he advised the team to closely coordinate at each and every Aahaar Centre and immediately flag issues if any and address it.
