Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote collaborative research and development, officials said.
The agreement was signed on October 17 between IIT Bhubaneswar and the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a key wing of ISRO. The announcement was made public on Friday.
According to the official statement, the partnership aims to carry out joint research on physical and biogeochemical ocean processes and shoreline change dynamics along the western Bay of Bengal.
The collaboration is expected to enhance scientific understanding of coastal and marine ecosystems, support climate and environmental studies, and contribute to sustainable coastal management through advanced remote sensing and satellite-based analysis.
