It aims to accompany all the eligible farmer families to fight against poverty. It gives them a total amount of Rs 6,000 in three installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The specified amount is directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account.
Eligibility criteria for PM Kisan Yojana
Small marginal farmer families
Farmers of urban as well as rural areas
Farmers with cultivable land holdings in their respective names
The following are not eligible for PM Kisan Yojana
Any Institutional landholders
Any present / retired officers and employees of state or central government as well as PSUs and any government autonomous bodies
Subscribers with higher economic status are not eligible
All those who are eligible to pay income tax
Any farmer families holding some constitutional posts
Professionals including doctors, engineers, and lawyers
Retired pensioners receiving a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 or over
How to enroll for PM Kisan Yojana
Farmers who are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme must approach the local revenue officer (or a patwari) or a nodal officer who is nominated by the State government.
The farmers who are eligible may even contact the Common Service Centres (CSCs) to do the registration under the PM Kisan Yojana scheme upon payment.
Self-registration for PM Kisan Yojana
Apart from approaching any officer, self-registration can be done through the Farmers’ Corner.

Farmers can self-register themselves through this section by entering basic details like name, address, date of birth, Aadhar card number, and upload other documents required.

Now a page appears showing three options: namely Aadhar card, Account Number, and Mobile Number
You may select any of the above following options and fill in the respective details
Next, appears a page presenting a drop-down menu. Finally, tap on the “Get Data” tab from the drop-down menu.

How to check beneficiary list for PM Kishan scheme
Another additional factor is that you can even check the beneficiary list. You can see whether your name has been enrolled for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) or not.

Then, click on the beneficiary list.
After which, select your state, district, sub-district, block, and name of the village
Finally, tap on the “Get Report” tab and check whether your name belongs to the list for the PM Kishan scheme or not.
