Graduation ceremony of 2019-2023 batch of ITER held

Bhubaneswar: The students of 2019-23 batch at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here, were presented their degree certificates at a special graduation ceremony held recently.

The students belonged to the departments of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, computer science and information technology, electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and electronics and communication engineering.

Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, vice-chancellor of SOA, who was the chief guest at the ceremony, congratulated the graduating students and wished them a bright future.

“You have passed out from a university which has been ranked 15th in the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2023 and ITER has been ranked 27th in the country among engineering colleges,” he said.

Prof Renu Sharma, additional dean (Student Affairs) of ITER, welcomed the students while Prof Pradip Kumar Sahu, dean of ITER spoke about the institution at length.

More than 3,000 students were presently studying in ITER which has been accredited by NBA, he said. Prof Sitikantha Mishra, pro-chancellor of SOA, Prof Manjula Das, controller of examination, Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, dean (Students’ Welfare) and heads of the seven different departments were present.
