Geology students of Utkal University launch cleaning drive

Students of Department of Geology launched a cleaning drive on Utkal University campus.

Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, Geology students of Utkal University started a cleaning drive from their department premises on Thursday.

The cleaning drive will continue till 23 November, followed by a blood donation camp on 27 November to commemorate the foundation day of Utkal University.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Geology Department carried out the cleaning drive led by Dr. Kirti Ranjan Mallick, programme officer of NSS post graduate unit.

The students were joined by Dr. Santi Swarup Sahoo, assistant professor and research scholars Jitu Nandan, Pravat and Bhawani. Dr. Braja Narayan Patra, programme coordinator of NSS bureau motivated the volunteers to take up more cleaning activities in the coming days.
