Bhubaneswar: The 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was observed at the non-violence site of Vani Vihar with the support of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Utkal University, here on Monday.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, vice-chancellor of Utkal University Prof Sabita Acharya, warden Prof Prabodh Kumar Hota, Prof Kabir Mohan Sethi, teachers and students paid rich tributes to the father of the nation.

Prof Acharya said that this day is a day for everyone to take a new resolution and be inspired by Gandhiji’s values of life, peace, equality and communal harmony.
Among others, NSS coordinator Dr Brajnarayan Patra, Dr Kirtiranjan Mallick, Ramesh Mallick were also present. NSS workers Rabinarayan Pan, Prashant Maharana, Mamata Das, Subash Pradhan and Jitendra Das assisted in conducting the programme.
