The fuel prices in Odisha saw a hike on Saturday again, with the rate of petrol in the capital city of Bhubaneswar at Rs 108 while diesel price at Rs 104.50.
In Cuttack the prices of petrol and diesel on Saturday were Rs 109.06 and Rs 105.52, respectively.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised in India on a daily basis. The fuel prices are revised at 6 am everyday. It includes value added tax (VAT), and dealer commission.
While the VAT varies from state to state, there are many other factors that impact fuel prices. Price of crude oil, INR to USD exchange rate and demand for fuel are some of the key factors that affect petrol and diesel prices.
