Bhubaneswar: Coping with the demands of a fast paced world has robbed most people of the joy of enjoying nutritious food.
In fact, the importance of nutrition in daily intake of food has taken a backseat as people rush through their meals without thinking what they are eating. To focus on this incongruity, SUM Ultimate Medicare is organising a day-long food festival on Wednesday (April 6) to educate people on the need for nutritious food.
“We believe food nourishes the mind, body and soul. So we decided to organise the food festival on the eve of the World Health Day on April 7 to create awareness about traditional nutritious food. Our intention is to breathe life into the legacy of Odisha’s traditional dishes and showcase their nutritional value,” Dr. Swetapadma Dash, chief Executive Officer of the hospital said.
The 12-hour festival, which will commence at 9 am, will be an occasion to indulge the taste buds while focusing on nutrition at the same time, she said.
