A five-day NSS training in collaboration with Ravenshaw University’s NSS wing got underway on Monday.
Taking forward the efforts under the ‘urban resilience project’, the camp was inaugurated by Cuttack Municipal Corporation’s (CMC) joint commissioner, Sumita Sarkar.
The main goal of the camp is to strengthen disaster response by utilising locally accessible resources and forming an effective frontline youth volunteer team.
On Monday, the professionals taught the participants how to deal with unconscious victims, bleeding, bandages, shocks, and snake bites, among other things.
In the following days of the camp, further rescue tactics, first aid, and emergency response procedures will be taught.
