The first phase of OCA’s talent hunt camp for spinners ended at the Railway Stadium in Bhadrak on Saturday.
The camp held across different venues in the state, saw participation of 417 spinners.
A total of 97 spinners turned up at the zonal venue Bhadrak which consisted of Kendrapara, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts.
Odisha senior men’s team coach Dinesh Mongia along with senior and junior selectors of OCA – Amiya Ray, Subit Biswal, Pravanjan Mullick, Niranjan Behera and Subhrajit Sahoo were present to scout players.
Dignitaries of Bhadrak District Cricket Association – Upendra Barik (president), Bhabatosh Das (vice-president), Dhiren Pallai (general secretary), Byomkesh Senapati (treasurer), Jyotikanta Nayak (member, executive committee), Pawan Sharma (member, executive committee), Naren Pallai (member, executive committee) and Bijay Jena (member, advisory committee), were present during the inauguration of the camp.
