Fatal stabbing in East Delhi park, man killed in robbery attempt
New Delhi: A 32-year-old man, identified as Narendra, was stabbed to death while resisting a robbery attempt by four assailants in a park in East Delhi’s Madhu Vihar area, late Friday night.
According to police reports, Narendra and a friend were consuming alcohol at the DDA park near a CNG gas station when the attackers approached. The assailants stabbed him multiple times, forcefully snatched his bag and mobile phone and fled the scene.
Narendra was quickly rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, but unfortunately, doctors declared him dead. A case has been registered under IPC sections 302 (murder), 397 (robbery, or dacoity, with an attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery), and 392 (punishment for robbery) at the Madhu Vihar police station.
Police have formed teams to apprehend the perpetrators as investigations into the incident continue.
