New Delhi: With impending school board exams set to begin on Thursday, concerns are rising among residents residing near Delhi’s Tikri and Singhu borders regarding the challenges children may face in reaching exam centres. This anxiety is heightened by the combination of traffic and security restrictions imposed due to the ongoing farmers’ protest.

Compounding the predicament, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced a ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Friday in solidarity with the ‘Delhi Chalo’ agitation, reported PTI. The agitation involves farmers from Punjab marching to the national capital to emphasise their demands, including the implementation of a law ensuring a minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
The security measures implemented around the Delhi-Haryana border points, fortified with metal barricades and concrete blocks to prevent farmers from entering the city, were put into effect on Tuesday, coinciding with the commencement of the farmers’ march.
