Bhubaneswar: As the 80th foundation day of Utkal University being celebrated on Sunday, it also aspires to get the NAAC A++ status.
“The ongoing effort and determination in education, research, technology and other areas has excelled the university to aspire for NAAC A++ status,” Vice-Chancellor Professor Sabita Acharya said.
The NAAC committee is likely to visit the campus anytime soon for evaluation. “we are absolutely ready for the physical assessment process”, Prof Acharya said on Saturday.
She added that efforts to transform the university into a digital campus has reached the final stage, which will facilitate quality research and development in the field of education. Also, the Centre for Innovation and Incubation (CII) established in the year 2018 has witnessed many students and entrepreneurs venturing into successful startups.
Among others, Registrar Dr. Avaya Kumar Nayak, Warden of Hostels Prof. Prabodha Kumar Hota, Comptroller of Finance Gautama Pradhan, Director of Students’ Welfare Prof. Mithali Chinara, Director, CDC Professor Nigamananda Das, Coordinator of Journalism and Mass Communications Programme Dr. Pratima Sarangi were also present.
