Environmental awareness programme held

ECoRWWO president Divya Sharma at the environmental awareness programme.

Members of East Coast Railway Womens’ Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) headed by its president Divya Sharma participated in an environmental awareness programme for children.

To mark the occasion, Sharma and other members planted saplings at Rail Vihar and encouraged children and their parents to participate towards safeguarding the environment.

Children of Phulwari School run by ECoRWWO participated in the plantation programme. Medicinal plants with cotton bags were also distributed to the children.

Apart from this, Sharma also distributed sanitary napkins to the contractual women workers as a part of Women Health and Hygiene initiative named “Dastak”.
