Vigilance Awareness Week–2022 is being organised from October 31 to November 6 with the theme “Corruption free India for a developed Nation” and various activities like debate, essay and slogan writing and painting competitions are being organised to raise awareness among common people including railway employees and students.

The Vigilance Organisation of East Coast Railway is also reaching out to various Schools and Colleges of the State to create awareness on ill-effects of corruption and to promote integrity and honesty among the students.

To eradicate corruption and dishonesty from the grassroot level of the society, students play a vital role to create awareness. Therefore, ECoR has taken initiatives in organising lecture-cum-elocution at various colleges in important cities of its jurisdiction.

Apart from the railway’s continuous efforts and regular awareness drive against fake job rackets, some job aspirants are still falling in the trap of fraudsters who promise to provide them jobs in the railways. Keeping in mind such activities, East Coast Railway (ECoR) is continuously undertaking massive campaign to educate people so that the innocent unemployed youths do not fall prey to such rackets.

“If anybody asks for bribe promising to provide you a job in the railways or if you have any information of corruption or you are a victim of the above, please inform on Vigilance Helpline Number,” ECoR said.

The Vigilance Helpline Mobile Number 8455885031 and e-mail sdgm@ecor.railnet.gov.in is available to receive complaints on corruption and to improve the quality of service in ECoR jurisdiction.

Passengers can lodge their complaints against any kind of corruption in Railways by dialling or sending mail over the above said numbers/e-mail ID. The Helpline Numbers and e-mail ID are also being displayed at various locations, stations and over electronic visual display units and also in newspapers.
