East Coast Railway (ECoR) general manager Manoj Sharma reviewed the ongoing projects of Sambalpur Division on Saturday.
Sharma also inspected Hirakud railway station and freight train maintenance facility with routine over-hauling (ROH) facility for freight wagons at Sarla station.
Reviewing the projects and inspecting Hirakud Station and under construction ROH, Shri Sharma advised concerned officials to focus for the speedy completion of various project works. Shri Sharma also advised officials to coordinate with stake holders including State Government officials for early completion of the projects.
Freight train maintenance facility with routine over-hauling (ROH) facility for freight wagons at Sarla station was sanctioned in the year 2017-18 and was proposed to be established at Maneswar station. Later on, the project has been shifted to Sarla station in view of feasibility and the estimate of the project was sanctioned at a cost of Rs 149.37 crore.
Also, Sharma inspected Hirakud railway station and took stock of rail infrastructural development at the station. Divisional railway manager of Sambalpur Railway Division Vineet Singh, branch officers of Sambalpur Division and officials from RITES were also present in the review meeting.
